After the past few years of parties, art exhibitions, live session videos, and other music projects, the team at ANKR has thoroughly enjoyed working with and hosting some of our favorite producers and DJs from the tight-knit music community in Taiwan. In addition to all of our collaborative and multi-media music projects, we also want to use our music label to showcase the productions of some of our favorite dance music producers, and share the kind of nature-inspired electronic music which has been the core of our artistic drive from the beginning.

For this series of DJ-friendly digital releases we’re starting with one of ANKR’s regular performers, and a familiar face of Taipei’s underground music scene, Lemonfacer. Previously he’s released tracks on local compilations such as ANKR’s “東羅 Dong Luo [AKR01]” album and JIN records’ “十十零壹” compilation. For this release we’re happy to debut his first full length solo EP, “Standing Wave”.

After a long, grueling summer of heat, Lemonfacer has put together four tracks of hot and humid, sticky breakbeat inspired by the dense, overgrown, bug-infested river swim spots throughout Taiwan’s mountains. Between heavy electro basslines and echoing synths, the sounds of buzzing crickets and snapped twigs meld seamlessly with analog percussion and chopped drum breaks. A perfect selection for midday dips in the stream or midnight jives in the jungle.

駐波 : 為兩個波長、週期、頻率和波速皆相同的正弦波，相向行進干涉而成的合成波。
駐足行進間，能量匯集凝聚於此維度。

在經歷了漫長而濕熱的酷暑之後，專輯靈感來自台灣山區草木叢生、蟲鳥出沒的河流生態系為，創作四首呼應本地炎熱潮濕、黏膩氣候的 Breakbeat 作品。

深沈的電子低頻和空間系合成器之間，蟋蟀蟲鳴聲、折裂的樹枝聲、模擬打擊樂聲與碎拍鼓聲交疊融合，不妨在溪流或山林中尋覓時聆聽，彷彿聽見維度能量正在匯集......
